Emma's Notes
- Some favorite sites
- I thought I'd share some of my favourite sites for inspiration: Web Designer Wall has a great blog on what's happening in the web design world; ColourLovers is a great place to look at colour palettes, patterns, and trends in different areas of design; and Deviant Art is a great place to look at art, design, and some really cool graphics.
- R.I.P. IE6
- The end of 2009 saw the official END of IE6! May it rest in peace. For more information about why IE6 is no longer being supported, please visit IE6 No More.
Web design isn't just a job; it's a passion!
Designing and developing websites is a creative process that enables my clients to have an effective online presence whether it is to promote something they do, make, sell, or just wish to share with the world.
Web design/development is something that I'm passionate about and it starts from the very first discussion and lasts well after your site goes live! I find inspiration all around me; I find inspiration in nature, from my pets, from scrapbooking and jewellry, and in other media. I'm proud of my work and endeavour to create sites that are not only beautiful and functional, but are also accessibility compliant and are cross-browser compatible.
Please take a look at my process and portfolio so you'll get an idea of what I can do for you. Let's work together to create a web presence that keeps your visitors, customers, and audience coming back for more!
Latest Project
I am currently working on a website for Rhianna Barron & Mehndi by Rhi; a Southern Alberta-based artist who works with henna to create traditional and contemporary mehndi designs. The website uses valid XHTML and CSS, custom graphics, and the use of Google calendar to create interactive event schedule.
